Working in a DevOps team, I’ve now gained more insights in the relation with the business and the Sophis Risque package.
The technical analysis aspect is quite broad, it varies between the setup of the software package and helping team members making the link between business specs and the actual implementation. The Java and SQL development is still taking up most of my time.
One of my biggest realizations in this period was taking the lead in providing a proof of concept whether we should execute a major upgrade to version 7 of Sophis.
The first challenge of my career was with ING Belgium. I was working on an in-house solution to support our customers from the Financial Markets department. During this period I mainly developed my Java and SQL skills. Next to the development aspect, I also learned some basics in the world of Finance and the Sophis Risque package.
I’ve setup a clear and easy to integrate procedure for our biweekly code deliveries, which lead to very stable & secure go-lives and early bug-catching.
Internship as part of Professional Bachelor Applied Informatics. The goal was to implement a workflow to upload student data through an Excel file via a web interface and store it in a backend system. The webpage was built using the common HTML & CSS combo, PHP was used to communicate with the MySQL backend.
